Landscape

So bored by the afternoon
I decided to go for a walk
You see there’s much to see around here
If you dig what nature is capable of

I walked into a path
that ended by a beautiful lake
so I pulled off the camera from my pocket
and shot it as it was

The sun drew some stripes
through the paths between the trees
and the reflection of its light on the water
was a beautiful thing to see

but when i saw the pictures
back home on my pc
i thought there was something missing
inside that scenery

They all looked empty and cold
can't blame them for showing only what was there to see
landscape is just landscape without you
landscape is just landscape without you and me

later I thought about photoshopping us in
from a picture that we once took
but soon I realized that the past can't make a present
even on a low-res jpg
